NayaPay is a Pakistani digital wallet and Electronic Money Institution (EMI) authorised and regulated by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). It offers a mobile account, a debit card and instant transfers, and became popular for student and campus payments. Here is how NayaPay's account, card, transfers and limits work, and how to open an account.
NayaPay Account and Card
With a NayaPay account you get a digital wallet and a debit card for online and in-store payments and ATM use. The app also includes a built-in messaging feature, so you can chat and send money in one place, with data secured by strong SSL encryption.
Transfers, Bills and Raast
NayaPay supports instant transfers through Raast and bank transfers, along with utility bill payments, mobile load top-ups and QR payments — all from the app.
Account Limits and Upgrade
A basic NayaPay account has a monthly incoming limit of around Rs. 50,000. You can upgrade to about Rs. 400,000 by completing biometric verification — through the app's fingerprint scanner or at a partner (Meezan Bank) ATM. These limits are set under SBP rules for e-money accounts.
How to Open a NayaPay Account
Download the NayaPay app, enter your CNIC and details, and complete verification. Registration takes a few minutes once your information is verified, although the review itself can take up to a couple of days. After activation you can order a physical card from the app.
